ParkingSOFT Event Parking Management System Selected for University of Maryland
College Park
ParkingSOFT, LLC has been selected to provide our automated event
management parking system for the University of Maryland College Park Campus, College
Park, Maryland. Beginning with the 2010 – 2011 University of Maryland Terrapin Men’s
Basketball Season, ParkingSOFT, LLC will provide a comprehensive web- based event
parking management system for all major events scheduled at Byrd Stadium, Comcast
Arena and the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. The system utilizing real time
web based management technology and portable hand held revenue control hardware
will provide advanced event parking management features for all designated permanent
surface lots, structured facilities and temporary facilities designated for specific
event dates.
System features include:
- Internet Pre-pay Parking Reservation and Purchase Portals
- Facility POS cash, credit card, debit card and prepaid permit scanning.
- Establish traffic routes to specific lots in advance for Purchase Portal customers.
- In-field cash reductions of up to 80% increasing security and revenue control.
- Pre-paid permits are scanned once and re-entry is prohibited eliminating unauthorized
pass back.
- Remote management of hand-held units by the University to permit sale of a limited
number of permits at designated facilities.
- Real time audit and management functions via the Internet to view and manage all
aspects of the event. Point of sale cash/credit card transactions, pre-sold, arrival
and transaction/ capacity counts are updated every 30 seconds in all locations and
displayed on the secure dashboard.
